Wake Fund - Submitted by W. Bro. G.P. Rooke, PSGD

Benevolent Lodge No 303 supported my sister-in-law, Mrs Janet Cattanach, in an application for funds to support the Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo W.I. Community Hall Renovation Fund.  They were successful in being granted £1,200 and the cheque was presented to Mrs Janet Cattanach at the WAKE Fund Distribution at 303 on 29 Nov 2013.

They had an "Open Day" on Saturday 11 October 2014 from 10.00 am - 2.00 pm. Janet said, "The opening day went so well, with a couple of hundred people filing through to see the transformation and the overwhelming reports were all so complimentary".

She also said, "We are about to put together a list of the companies, organizationsí etc. who were the major donors to the Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo W.I. Community Hall Renovation Fund.  It will take the form of a framed document in the new entrance porch for all to see. The WAKE Fund of the Devonshire Freemasons will be listed among them".
